Charlotte Pro Day 2016

It was Charlotte's Pro Day on Tuesday, as a few scouts headed down to Charlotte to check out some 49er prospects trying to achieve their dream in the NFL.

Basic Information:

-NFL scouts from the Panthers, Jets and Bills attended

- Six 49ers participated (Andrew Buie, Caleb Clayton-Molby; Branden Dozier; Desmond Floyd; Ardy Holmes and Cortezz Nixon) along with three others unaffiliated with the 49ers. Participated in broad jump; vertical; bench; 40 and assorted shuttle and cone drills. Did not do position work.

According to Jonathan Jones from the Charlotte Observer, Brandon Dozier had a solid outing at the Pro Day, running a 4.57 40-yard dash and benched 225 pounds 20 times. He will be heading to Campbell as well to participate in their Pro Day, so he could possibly improve those numbers.

- NOTES: We did have two players invited to preseason mini-camps last year: Daniel Blitch (Panthers) and Desmond Cooper (Jaguars) and Cooper signed an NFL contract shortly after the camp.

Spring practice for the 49ers and head coach Brad Lambert opens up this Saturday with the Spring Game scheduled for 7 pm, April 23.
